Pre-call announcement

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is pleased to announce that it will shortly be launching a call for a Cross-disciplinary Mental Health Network Co-ordinator.

The aim of the call is to recruit a Network Co-ordinator, to provide intellectual leadership for, and to maximise the impact of the portfolio of recently commissioned Cross-disciplinary Mental Health Network Plus grants.

The Network Co-ordinator will organise and co-ordinate activities to bring the networks together. These activities will help to cultivate synergies between the networks and actively engage relevant disciplines that are currently underrepresented in the mental health research community.

The Network Co-ordinator will encourage and support the networks to take an innovative and cross-disciplinary approach to accelerate progress, to build cross-disciplinary research capacity in the field, and to strengthen the UK mental health research base.

The maximum budget for the post is £450,000 at 100% full economic cost (fEC). In accordance with UKRI policy, UKRI will contribute up to 80% of fEC. This budget is expected to cover the Network Co-ordinator's time, additional researcher and support staff salary costs, as well as networking, travel, dissemination, knowledge exchange and impact activities.

Key dates

The call for proposals will be launched in summer 2018, with a deadline for applications in the autumn, and projects commencing in early to mid 2019.

Please note the call launch and deadline dates are provisional and subject to change.
