Global health funding partnerships
In order to carry out a broad range of global health research, the MRC seeks opportunities to work with a number of key external stakeholders to deliver our strategy. These partnerships include both funder to funder as well as country to country.
The ARL scheme aims to strengthen research leadership across sub-Saharan Africa. The award is jointly funded under the MRC/DFID concordat agreement.
Novel interdisciplinary approaches to studying the key drivers in the emergence and re-emergence of human infectious disease
The GACD support innovative research collaborations between LMIC and high income countries to prevent and treat non communicable disease in LMICs.
Provides funding to generate new knowledge about interventions that will contribute to the improvement of health in LMICs.
Aims to address key questions on strengthening and improving health systems in developing countries.
Aiming to accelerate the development of new or improved drugs, vaccines, microbicides and diagnostics against poverty-related infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa,
