Alzheimer's drug to make dental fillings history

MRC-funded scientists at King’s College London have discovered that an Alzheimers drug, Tideglusib, can stimulate the renewal of tooth stem cells leading to natural tooth repair potentially reducing the requirement for use of man-made fillings.

Global roll-out of pneumococcal vaccine

The WHO has pre-qualified Pfizer’s new four-dose, multi-dose vial presentation of pneumococcal vaccine, based on the results of a study conducted by MRC Unit The Gambia in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of The Gambia.
