The gateway website was decommissioned in late 2015. It provided information on MRC-funded population and patient studies and their datasets and variables, and the procedures for requesting access to data.
The MRC scales are a collection of questionnaires developed since the 1940's, used to determine the clinical degree of disability a patient has. Included is information for Respiratory, Muscular, and Neurological scales, as well as advice on the correct use of these assessments.
