About the cohort

Participants are healthy blood donors who took part in a 2-year trial to investigate optimum blood donation intervals. Participants agreed to storage and use of data and samples for health-related research purposes and gave permission for linkage with health records. Questionnaire data was collected at 6-monthly intervals during the trial and blood samples were collected at baseline and after 2 years, and at additional time-points for some participants.
