Public engagement

MRC-funded scientists are encouraged to participate in engagement activities. Sharing our research work with the public who fund it and the wider world is a crucial part of the MRC mission.

Here you will find guidance on planning activities, ideas and opportunities for researchers, downloadable resources, and details of MRC and external funding and training support. For further support email: publicengagement@headoffice.mrc.ac.uk

£500 prize for the winner of the MRC Medical Research Zone – apply by 3 February

School students can ASK you, our MRC-funded researchers and technical staff, about medical science and your research/work in the online MRC Medical Research Zone.  Being online gives time to refine answers, with live CHATs picking up the pace!

School students VOTE over the period 2-27 March 2020, with a prize of £500 for the winner to be put towards a public engagement activity of your choice.

You’ll develop your communication skills and gain fresh perspectives on your work, while showing students the breadth and relevance of MRC-funded research. Apply today!
